The University of Arkansas Clinic for Literacy offers support to pre-service and in-service teachers through the use of materials, assessments and curriculum. Teacher candidates serve K-6 students through identification of literacy needs, intervention and/or enrichment. Literacy coursework grounded in the Science of Reading (SoR) taught at the university is immediately applied through work with clients to advance literacy learning and support school literacy experiences.

The Clinic for Literacy hosts literacy camps for kindergarten through fifth-grade students throughout the year. An annual two-week literacy camp is held during the summer months (typically in July). Camps provide students opportunities for improved achievement in reading and writing. UA teacher candidates serve K-5 students through analysis of literacy needs and intervention.
